Anthropologie Sales: My pick.

Monday 30 December 2013

I really wish I had more disposable income. Seriously, since buying our house I don't see my money. It's really hard to adapt to planning where the money goes. Obviously bills come first. Shopping for yourself comes last. BUT, if i did have the money I would certainly check out the sales on Anthropologie... It's one of them shops that you wish you could afford but realistically you can only afford it if there is a sale on and only then would you buy one thing (well, that's if your as poor as me) haha. If I had my ideal lifestyle i'd shop here permanently.

Here are some of my favourite items...

01: Georgina Bedding
I have seen this previously and wanted it straight away and its even more tempting when it's on sale!

02: Dip-Dyed Peasant Blouse
I LOVE this!! I want it!!

03: Ayton Top
I kinda think this would look good when i'm wearing my MAC Russian Red Lippy, with some cute heels or ankle boots and jeans. :)

04: Chipper & Sprite Serving Set
I love ornate and pretty cutlery, I probably wouldn't want to use it, maybe just sit and stare at it, haha.

05: Honore Buttondown
I think i would be channelling my inner Minnie Mouse with this but I am a big fan of Polka Dots, and the colour red so this is a winner for me.

06: Frye Discus Ankle Boots
And so we come to the boots... Ahhh I love 'worn' boots, they look so good. I'm kinda over studs though, so i don't know how much I actually love them but I have them on my list here so I must love them enough :)

Going from Brunette to Blonde!

Wednesday 11 December 2013

Hola hello hi there!

It's got to that point again where I am totally bored with my hair. I seem to get this itch to totally change it every so often! ...To be fair, I have stayed brunette (which is my natural colour) for quite a while now, around a year and a half!
Previously I have been burgundy, bright burgundy, reddish brown, dark dark brown, and well i was okay with it, and I really suit it obviously, but I need a change.

I have been blonde before, in fact I have been blonde twice. The first time my hair took to it very well and everything was going fine until I over toned it, it went grey. And this wasn't in the year that grey was cool :(
The second time it took so many visits to the hairdresser and it took forever that by the time I was blonde, I'd had enough, I kept it for 6 month (at the most) then went back dark.

Both times though I went really really light blonde, platinum blonde! It totally washes me out because i'm pale, so sometimes I looked awful. I'm really hoping to learn from this.

So, on Monday I bought some Halo clip in extensions in dark blonde, off eBay. They arrived today and I'm very happy with the colour. It's blonde,  but it's not too light.

Let's start from the beginning:

Here is a picture of what my hair looked like:

Pretty dark right? Sitting here now with ginger hair I wonder if I'm doing the right thing ahahah  but yeh, I had some great headkandy/dirtylooks hair extensions to match so I can still use them when I go back brown but still, I'm so bored of it.

I used Colourb4 to strip some brown hair dye out (I had to cover a few pesky greys about 2 month ago)

And I have had 2 appointments with my hairdresser. The first time she did two bleach washes on me, then the second she did a bleach wash then some foils...

Here are some pictures:

This was after my last appointment with the hairdresser, it was very multi-tonal so I decided to use Smart hair lightener on it to lighten the underneath and highlight throughout so it kinda matched....

At the moment it's very bright ginger, it will only need one more bleach then toner and then should hopefully match these:

As it doesn't right now: hahaha but I do think these will suit me!

I will update you once I have achieved it :)

30/12/2013 - UPDATE!

As you can see with this one, I have my extensions in but they still don't match, I still wore them as I was going out at might and it just looked like my hair was multi-tonal.

Still Peachy at the bottom!

Goals for 2014

Tuesday 19 November 2013

I know this year isn't over but part of me really feels i haven't achieved anything this year (on a personal deep down level). In reality, I have got engaged (technically this was Xmas day last year) Bought a house and moved in, got my kitty, got a new job....
Which, all in all, is amazing
I am really happy some major life goals were achieved.
But Hey Ho, I hate odd numbers so 2013, really grates on my inner psych!.

Personally, I have lost half a stone (pathetic) Learnt to drive (but yet would rather procrastinate than learn my theory so i can take my tests!) And really not concentrated on my design work etc...So I need to make goals for 2014 to complete!

01: Lose 24lb at least. (i need to be on track for 2015 - Jenna's Wedding)

02: Try and utilise this blog and start to develop my design work, or at least channel it into something more useful.

03: I'd like to GO somewhere interesting, like London, or some museum trips, for longs walks or take up a class. Something different.

04: Pass my driving test!

05: Get another Tattoo.

06: Get fit/ do Race for Life again (Or something similar)

07: Go to a gig/festival!

And lastly, but most importantly...Get Pregnant (My life would be complete! I t's all I've ever wanted and it's so hard watching all your friends have babies when it just isn't happening for you...)

What are your goals for next year?
