Shopping: Cath Kidston

I have just purchased two items from Cath Kidston. It's my friends birthday on the 10th May and i was struggling for ideas on what to buy her...She mentioned a while ago that she liked Cath Kidston (she has the red polka dot cross over bag and i love it!) and she has a 'baby bag' y'know the ones you fill with nappies, blankets, clothes etc. So i decided to have a look on the website and guess what?! They have a sale on!

I think it's great for everyday use and maybe for shopping, or going the gym. I love the floral design and you can't complain at the price.

Weird and Wonderful Cups/Mugs

One thing my house will not be is matchy matchy. I plan to mix and match all the things i love. This includes mugs! Seriously, i have an obsession with mugs/cups. I like weird and unique ones and i am not bothered about having a set...or matching them to my plates or anything like that....i literally buy it if i like it (maybe this is my issue with spending money?)

HOME DECOR: Log Burner Stove

As you know, I love going on Tumblr pretty much everyday to see the pictures people post, especially because i follow a few interior blogs. My tutmblr is my faveourite place to lose myself in inspiration and dreams, ahhhh... Anyway, Since we put an offer on the house i have known for sure that i want a wood burning stove...not a real one but an electric one. (a real one is too much hard work!- and money) I have seen loads of ideas on Tumblr so here is my plan:

I have decided i am having dark wood flooring downstairs, white walls, and a feature wall (which will be the fireplace wall)

          

 

Let's take these photo's above...The frames above the fireplace on the left i absolutely LOVE so i will be doing this in my living room, except i will be doing it in the colour theme of the photo on the right.

I like this type of stove with the two doors.

This one is a bit narrower though and may be more suitable due to the size of our fireplace in the new house. Plus with this one you can fit logs underneath! 

 

I really like the look of logs in and around a fireplace, it's promotes a cosy atmosphere and an earthy real look. It may also be a good hiding place for spiders though (not good!)

Please tell me i am not the only one that loves this fireplace?? Well i am totally going to try this for my bedroom fireplace!

OMBRE HAIR EXTENSIONS

I bought my extensions from Headkandy over a year ago. I love how thick, natural and gorgeous they are. The only drawback is the clips. I don't think they are very secure, especially with the quad weft! It's quite heavy and my hair is quite thin, but i have got used to them now.

Over the year i have dyed them (so they have a burgundy tint) i have curled and straightened them and now i have ombre'd them (if thats a word)

I just used a standard ombre kit from boots, i bought two and did it twice because it wasn't very light the first time. It's a bit ginger though..good job i like ginger! haha. Happy Days!

SO...I'VE UPDATED THE BLOG

There have been many a time when i have got myself motivated enough to decide to start a website or blog. I start browsing the internet, find inspiration and get really excited at the prospect of creating this fantastic thing!... Only to find a few weeks later i have totally lost interest. 
Mostly i am probably just lazy, not sure what to blog about and when i do have a good idea i get distracted on photoshop for hours trying to organise the photo's that by the time i am ready to post i really can't be arsed typing. bummer.
But i have now realised that i lose interest in something when i don't like the look of it. simples!

I can prove this because the only thing i am proud of is my tumblr account www.sarahdoes.co.uk...Tumblr is so easy to use, i follow quite a few accounts on there so i frequently scroll through my news feed and re-blog the stuff i like. It is my inspiration board, especially the home decor side of it. There are so many pretty house and interiors that i am going to be copying in my house. I cannot wait to get started!!

We are hoping to have the house in two weeks time!! Eeeek! It feels like we have been waiting forever (well we did put our offer in at the beginning of March!!) so i really cannot wait to get in. I plan to post a few pictures on here of ideas and inspirations i have found.

Anyway..back onto the subject.

I have bought this template/design off Etsy. It was only around £10 so not expensive at all and i loved the flowers! I'm pretty happy with it at the moment so i really feel like putting an effort into this blog. There are a few tweaks i want to sort out but they are'nt major.

2 Trafalgar Road

So, Number 2 Trafalgar Road is now our house. Well, I say its our but we haven't yet finalised everything yet. I know buying a house is stressful, i was told a million times "its one of the most stressful thing you'll do in life" and bejesus it is!! It's just the waiting and the worrying. Then realising how much it all costs, fees, doing work to the house..etc etc

Our house is what i would call a semi-detached. Except there are three houses in it's row rather then two so they call it an end mews...It was built in the 1930's. The previous owner unfortunately died :'-(

She hadn't lived there for approx 5 Years as she was in a care home, and when you go through the house you can definately tell!
